Wow, it's March 1st. We had a fun weekend. The Fur Rondy Festival started and we were able to enjoy some of the conviviality. If anyone told me that someday I'd be "enjoying" a carnival and corn dogs in 12 degree weather, I'd have slapped them. But since we live in AK it's not too crazy for people up here to enjoy the Fair in the dead of winter. If you are curious about what Fur Rondy is, check out this link: www.furrondy.net. It's a crazy winter fest heralding the bygone days of the Fur Rendezvous auctions and the Classic start of the Iditarod. Basically it's an excuse to throw a huge party in Anchorage.
I've got a couple pics up of Cannon's finished dresser and night stand. We are still shopping around for hardware. Didn't he do a beautiful job on that furniture?
We got to Skype with the grandparents and that was the highlight of our weekend. It really does bridge a huge distance between our family. Viva la modern technology!
I have loads of laundry to fold while Caleb is napping so gotta run! Happy Monday to you all.

That dresser is beautiful. I love the Fur Rondy. Yeehaw! I think a party is much needed at this time of year. Ugh. February and March are brutal. SKYPE is great. My parents are anti-techy so I haven't seen them since June. My in-laws are better at it. My mother-in-law and I text all the time. Its hilarious. Good luck folding laundry. Monday seems to be the official laundry day.
what an awesome carnival!! i love that it's in the middle of winter to get everybody's mind off all the snow! or i guess it's embracing the cold and snow, but either way, it's awesome!
the furniture looks so good! and i had to blow up the picture of you and caleb on the piano to see what your caption meant. har har!! ;)
oh my gosh, that looks so cold! and how did the fireworks not just freeze into icicles once they hit the atmosphere? you alaskans are nuts. i mean, i was trying to decide if i should wear open-toed shoes today, because it was projected to be in the blizzardy 60's! haha!
Love your new Marchy boarder, pictures, and journal. We had a blast blogging w/ you guys too. Stay warm and cozy up there in all your snowy weather.... AK has my mother's attitude in that there's never a bad time to throw a party. Winter, spring, summer, or fall - we like 'em all!!
hugs to everyone!
