Playing in the backyard

Yes, it's February, and yesterday we were playing in the grass in the backyard!! The climate here is perfect. Caleb wasn't sure of the grass and we had fun watching him test out the new surface. We can't wait to go out again today! I had the camera pretty close to him, so you might feel like he's crawling right up onto you!

New books from Aunt Lolly

A surprise bundle of books showed up at our door while Caleb was asleep. I took one of them into him just as he woke up. He was instantly fascinated. Lolly, you are the best aunt EVER! Caleb loves YOU!

It's the little things

There are things that I see on a daily basis right now that I just love...

...his adorable face scrunched up in a smile when I tickle his neck...

...his deer-in-the-headlights face when I surprise him when he's being busy...

...his bum in the air as he is sound asleep, dreaming the afternoon away...

...his inquisitive face (and personality)...

...little dimpled hands, especially when they are tugging my leg or patting my face and arms...

...speaking of tugging, here he comes now. He'll be pulling himself up, right next to me in seconds!

Clapping Caleb!

Caleb has a whole bag of tricks. He spits, he stretches real biiig, he headbangs, he waves...and he claps all the time. I've gotten it on camera a couple times and wish I could capture it more (when he sees the camera he stops, out of curiousity) because his whole face lights up when he claps. It is by far my favorite trick!

Valentines from my sweetie!

Cannon brought me some very sweet and thoughtful Valentines surprises tonight! Among them was...Tillamook Huckleberry Ice Cream! He knows that my side of the family loves huckleberries! This is a real treat and I wish we lived closer to Grampa and Great Grampa Stoddard so that we could share it!
He also thought of Caleb...who loves, LOVES mylar balloons!
'Twas a sweet Valentines indeed and I felt like a million bucks. Thanks baby!
